Staffordshire Bull Terriers
Cassie and Jim Malloy
Snohomish, WA

WELCOME
to our Breeder's page, we hope you like what you see. We have both lived in the company of dogs since childhood. Most of our pets were the "generic" variety, but some purebred dogs made their way into our hearts. Cassie raised a couple of German Shepherds, and Jim grew up with a Dachshund. Shortly after our marriage in 1989, we brought home our first AKC registered dog (a Boxer) and life has not been the same since. We owned and exhibited Boxers and American Stafforshire Terriers before purchasing our first Stafforshire Bull Terrier from Judy Keller (Win-R Staffordshire Bull Terriers) in 1994.Something about owning a Stafford made us go crazy (an effect this breed has on a lot of people). Since then our lives have "gone to the dogs" so they say. We show our dogs in conformation and obedience, and Cassie has taught obedience classes in the past. We have tried weight pulling and agility, and will probably try to compete in agility when the right dog comes along. We have been members of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Puget Sound since its inception and have served on its Board since the Club was formed. Cassie has also served on the Board of Directors of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club, Inc. and the All Terrier Club of Western Washington. Jim has been the breed rescue coordinator for the SBTCPS for many years, and Cassie is a past breed rep for Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue.
After being involved in the sport of purebred dogs for eight years, we finally bred our first litter in 1997. It took us this long to find a female that had all the qualities we felt were vital to a good brood bitch - - - Superior temperament, healthy, with good breed type. Our first two supposedly "breeding quality" bitches (one Boxer, one Am Staff)did not live up to our high expectations and were spayed before they could add to the gene pool.
From the very beginning, our breeding philosophy has been this:
Temperament is our number one concern when planning a breeding. We also strive to produce only strong, healthy dogs, and conduct health checks (OFA and CERF) on our own breeding stock to help guarantee this. We plan to use only show champions in our breeding program, but are keeping our options open on this (just in case we find the "perfect" Stafford sitting on someone's couch!). Our puppies are placed in very select homes. All puppy buyers are required to sign a detailed contract, which contains language to protect you as the buyer, we as the breeder, and most importantly, the dog. Puppies showing potential to better the breed are sold on a co-ownership. Puppies that may not be of sufficient quality for breeding are sold outright, but with a "limited" AKC registration and with a requirement that they be spayed/neutered. Perhaps most importantly, we hope to develop a lasting relationship with our puppy buyers. We have become friends with many of our past puppy buyers, and consider them to be part of our extended family.
If you want a quality Staffordshire Bull Terrier, think you are qualified to provide the dog a loving, lifelong home, and are willing to wait a while, please contact us. If you have questions about us or our dogs, or just want to talk about our favorite subject, give us a call.

CH WIN-R BLACK DIAMOND CGC by AM/CAN/MEX/INT CH LORIDEN PITBOSS CGC HCT AD TT X CH FEARSTAFF CALVERLEY QUEEN (UK) "Piper" was our first Stafford, our first Champion, and the foundation of our breeding program. We purchased Piper from Judy Keller (WIN-R). Piper exemplifies the type of dog we are striving to produce in our breeding program - Awesome temperament, good breed type and healthy.
CH MADDENDUFF'S FERGUS CGC OFA CERF by CH TRUGRIP SWEET SIX ROCKY ROAD X CH WIN-R BLACK DIAMOND. "Fergus" was the first born in our first litter, our first homebred Champion, and first group placing dog. Fergus has sired five litters and produced six AKC Champions to date, with several more "pointed" offspring in the show ring now.

This devoted "mama's boy" is up for any adventure, as long as he is with Cassie. His most favorite activity is fishing, and it is really a good day when mom lets him eat sushi!!
CH MADDENDUFF'S ASHLING (pictured at 10 months) is full sister to Fergus. English Stafford breeder and judge Paul Wilkenson comments, "She is better than her mother in every way. She has everything her mother has, only better." We feel this is the whole point in breeding dogs, to make the next generation better. "Kaylee" was bred only once, and whelped a litter of six boys out of CH Slam Dance (UK). Kaylee lives with and is spoiled rotten by her co-owner, Carol Randall.

EVERTRUE TOUCH O MISCHIEF CDX Can. CD CGC. This is our American Staffordshire Terrier "Missy". She was nationally ranked in the top 5 of her breed for obedience in 1995 and 1996. Missy is now pretty old (she was born in 1992), mostly deaf and a little daft, but she still gets around well and has not lost her passion for swimming. Missy is an honorary member of the SBTCPS and is loved by all who know her!

Advice for life from Missy and Fergus: Play hard, never miss a meal, sleep a lot.
